High Performance, Portable FT-NIR Spectrometers For A new kind of NIR analysis Solution
Ruggedness and portability are the key aspects of Galaxy Scientific’s near infrared spectrometers. While our FT-NIR spectrometers are suitable for laboratory use, they can also be taken into the field or near the manufacturing line. We do not sacrifice performance, utilizing the full benefit of FT-NIR spectroscopy. Our QuasIR™ family of NIR spectrometers uses Fourier Transform Near-Infrared (FT-NIR) technology based on novel PermAlign™ optics to ensure unmatched instrument accuracy and repeatability, even under extreme conditions.
Portability without Compromise
Galaxy Scientific, an industry pioneer in portable optical Near Infrared spectroscopy, is an agile innovator, enabling organizations to use the power of Near Infrared optical spectroscopy to analyze and authenticate important chemicals and materials. We are specialized in the development and manufacturing of high performance, rugged and portable near infrared spectrometers for lab, process, and field use. DIRECT CALIBRATION TRANSFER
Historically, transferring NIR calibrations from one Near Infrared analyzer to another has been a challenging task. One of the greatest advantages of FT-NIR spectroscopy is direct calibration transfer. NIR calibration can easily be transferred from one FT-NIR spectrometer to another even if it is not the same model or made by the same manufacturer.
HIGH-PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENTS
Galaxy Scientific’s high-performance FT-NIR technology offers significant advantages such as high spectral resolution, best-in-class signal-to-noise ratio, inherently stable wavelength accuracy, and full spectral range. All models utilize Galaxy’s PermAlign™ Fourier Transform Technology, taking near-infrared instrumentation to the next level by offering incredibly high-performance measurements in a small, portable design. Benefits include permanent interferometer alignment, small & lightweight design, and robust field operation.
PORTABILITY
The QuasIR™ Series spectrometer combines portability and performance to get the results you need, where and when you need them. Our robust and compact design can be taken outside the lab to the point of need. Each is lightweight and quickly attaches to a laptop or tablet computer, can operate from a variety of power sources, and has a rugged design that ensures it can be moved without damage.
EASE OF USE
Galaxy Scientific has created the hardware and software to make chemical analysis accessible to everyone. The intuitive Spectral Sage™ Software combines the ease-of-use needed for everyday analysis with feature-rich functions for advanced method developers. Our Automatic Performance Testing Unit provides an easy and automated way to monitor your instrument’s performance.
LOW COST OF OWNERSHIP
We designed our products to be compact, precise and economical. Our QuasIR™ Series uses a temperature stabilized solid-state laser that offers a compact configuration, excellent wavelength stability, and a typical lifetime of over 10 years. In addition, our spectrometers use a special compact lamp that offers a typical lifetime of 20,000 hours and an inexpensive replacement cost. Galaxy Scientific’s QuasIR™ has a wear-free interferometer drive that comes with a 10-year warranty and user-replaceable desiccant.
Our QuasIR™ 1000 FT-NIR spectrometer features a transmission chamber that can hold various sizes of cuvettes and glass vials up to 10mm. Optional temperature control is offered; the sample compartment can be heated to 100∘C or cooled to 20∘C, for a wide range of applications.
Transmission measurement for NIR analysis of liquids such as edible oils, lubricants, alcoholic beverages, non-alcoholic beverages, fuels etc…
Our QuasIR™ 2000 is a portable Fiber Optic FT-NIR Near Infrared Spectrometer that can be equipped with a wide range of reflection, transmission or transflectance probes depending on the application. It was designed from the ground up to offer the industry a new kind of NIR analysis solution – a solution that brings together the portability required to move NIR analysis closer to point-of-need, combined with unmatched spectroscopic performance for the fastest and most accurate results.
The NF 2000 is a portable Fiber Optic Near Infrared Spectrometer that is equipped with a reflection probe, and a built-in probe holder and background. Transmission or transflection probes can also be used with the instrument.
The QuasIR™ 2000E is designed for continuous measurement of the chemical composition of material transported on a conveyor belt, through a pipe, or in a chute. It features- unique external projection optics using high powered tungsten lamps to illuminate the sample from as far as 24 inches away and collect the scattered reflection off the sample through a fiber optic cable.
Our QuasIR™ 3000 FT-NIR spectrometer is equipped with an integrating sphere for reflection measurements of solids as well as transflectance measurements of opaque liquids and pastes. The instrument has a wide range of applications, especially in the food and agriculture sectors.
Our QuasIR™ 4000 FT-NIR spectrometer is our most popular instrument. It combines the capabilities of our the QuasIR™ 1000 and the QuasIR™ 3000 making it very versatile and unique. It can be used to analyze liquids, solids and pastes since it is equipped with both an integrating sphere and transmission chamber.
